5 Rules & Motions

1. Speak & listen with kindness and truth (half a heart to mouth and ears, connect at mouth)
Virtue: Charity & Honesty
✅ Use respectful words.
✅ Eyes on the speaker, voices at rest.
✅ No gossip, name-calling, or sarcasm.
2. Follow directions the first time. (stop motion into number 1)
Virtue: Obedience
✅ Look at the teacher when being spoken to.
✅ Begin tasks right away.
✅ Ask questions only after listening fully.
3. Stay in your space and use self-control (arms wide and hug yourself)
Virtue: Temperance
✅ Keep hands, feet, and belongings to yourself.
✅ Sit appropriately unless given permission to move.
✅ Raise your hand to speak or stand.
4. Take care of your classroom and supplies (wiping the crumbs and look out)
Virtue: Responsibility & Stewardship
✅ Put away materials properly.
✅ Clean your area before leaving.
✅ Handle books, furniture, and shared items gently.
5. Encourage others and include everyone. (*come up with sign at assembly)
Virtue: Justice & Friendship
✅ Invite others to join activities.
✅ Offer help without being asked.
✅ Celebrate others' successes without envy.
